Small Angle Scattering (SAXS)
Bruker Nanostar
X-ray scattering is used for the structural characterization of hard and soft materials. After appropriate analysis of the scattering data, information about the size, orientation, and arrangement of units in ordered and disordered structures can be obtained. The structural dimensions range from a few angstroms through molecular length scales up to approximately 100 nm for supramolecular structures.
Possible applications
- Investigation of amorphous and crystalline solids, liquids, solutions, suspensions, gels, supramolecular structures, nanoparticles, and liquid crystals
- Temperature-dependent investigation of phase transitions or relaxation processes
- Measurements under controlled atmospheres (humidity, gas), high voltage, or mechanical stress.
